Dear Friends of Jabulani, we pray you are well and enjoying Jesus! We apologize for not sending out an update for a while but we had had serious challenges and situations which have been very stressful and COVID has been very busy in Zimbabwe, there have been waves of different variants and many people catching the virus and dying but we thank God everyone is COVID free at Jabulani.
March in Jabulani
Greetings from a wet Zimbabwe! We have had drought in many parts of our country for a number of years so we give thanks to God for an abundance of rain and the blessing of new life throughout the land! Praise the Lord!
We have been in ongoing lockdown now for many months, Dorothy and I have been here at Jabulani since September 2020 and only going out for shopping. Businesses have closed, borders have closed, restaurants etc just like the rest of the world. It has been very stressful but we praise God that COVID 19 has not been as devastating here as in other parts of the world.
Christmas Is Coming...
Our borehole is dry but our cup overflows
Friends of JABULANI, we trust you are well and in good, safe health. What strange days we live in, we travelled back to Zimbabwe on 20 September via Dublin, Frankfurt, Addis Ababa and finally Zimbabwe and had to go to a private quarantine lodge as soon as we arrived for a COVID test and overnight stay while we waited on the results.
September!!!
Greetings in Jesus Name, we pray you are well and COVID free and are enjoying Gods blessings in your life! What a world we are living in, all our lives have been turned upside down by this virus, plans that were made have all had to change, masks, lockdowns, quarantine, social distancing , sanitizer, are everyday words now...it’s unreal YET in the midst of it all we have seen our God do great and awesome things for us at JABULANI and praise Him for His great love and compassion toward us every day.
JUNE UPDATE
Dear Friends of JABULANI,
We trust you are safe and well and enjoying Gods blessings on your life!
All is good at home, the children are online with school work and they are safe and in good health and enjoying these days. It’s winter now and they are freezing but have plenty of warm clothes and blankets, remember cold for Africans is anything less than 65F (18C)
May Update
Greetings and best wishes from your Jabulani family! We trust you are in good health and surviving the virus wherever you are in the world. Everyone is well at Jabulani and God has been helping us in so many ways during these difficult days.
Dorothy and I had planned on moving to Ireland for a few months to spend time with our children and grandchildren but all our flights were cancelled due to the pandemic and we had resigned ourselves to stay at Jabulani with our children for the duration!
Late March Update at Jabulani
March at Jabu
Dear Friends of Jabulani,
Greetings from Harare Zimbabwe! We have been exceptionally busy with the new school year starting. Having 11 children at school means lots of work with uniforms, shoes, track suits, sports kits, sports shoes, school textbooks and work books etc. It’s difficult enough with 1 child but 11 means lots of running around and most of the stuff needs to be brought in from South Africa... but to see our precious children leaving home for school each day makes it all worthwhile!
