Greetings from a mild and dry Zimbabwe! It was 9 degrees C at 5:30am and it’s now 24c at Midday..so it’s warming up even though this is our wintertime!
We have had a good couple of months since our last newsletter, all the children are healthy and well, the behaviour is good and all are working hard as we approach exam season. Here are a few highlights to help you see how God has been answering your prayers.
Thank you everyone who contacted me about the two operations I had we praise God all is well and there are no after-effects. Also I had lots of blood tests done while we were in UK in May and I have a clean bill of health Hallelujah.
Dorothy continues to run and finished her Capetown 56K ultra marathon in an excellent time of 6h03, She continues to keep in great health and busy with admin and organizing the food, meals and finances etc here at Jabulani.
Dorothy is also the Manager of our 7 staff members and in these very difficult days of drought and famine, she is working to make sure they are able to not only survive but thrive and that their families are looked after along with everyone at Jabulani.
Grace is starting extra lessons in early August prior to her sitting her IGCSE exams, she is very keen to pass well and graduate on to A-level exams. Please pray she will do great.
Joseph is growing into a big lad, he is very involved in basketball at school and is working hard to improve his grades, Joe is a very pleasant and well-mannered young man who turns 15 years old in August. He loves God and is serving at church in the media team which he enjoys very much.
Blessing and Hope are two young ladies who are very fashion-conscious, have their own styles and are also doing well at school. They need to focus and study hard to improve their grades prior to them sitting the IGCSE exams next year.
All four of our High schoolers love going to youth club on Friday nights at a local Church and are growing in their faith and love for God. Please pray for them.
Faith, Esther, Sarah, Ruth, Hannah and Abigail did well in their Cambridge transfer tests and will be doing local exams in September prior to leaving for Maranatha HS in January God willing. They all have varying abilities in academics and sports but are trying their best and we just want to see them all try a wee bit harder and pass their exams well. They have had to cut down on sports as they all play for just about every school team. While they are not so happy about that, they have settled into the routine. Please pray that they would know God’s hand of blessing in every part of their lives.
Grace had her ‘Sweet 16’ party last week and had family and friends celebrating with her on a fabulous day for everyone. Grace is such a sweet girl and has caused us no problems at all in all her life with us, We pray that God will lead and guide her into the path of His choosing in the days ahead.
Kuda is doing great, her appetite and health are a real blessing to us all, She has had no sickness issues and we would ask you to pray she stays clear of colds and flu during the winter season as this always upsets her routine very much. Kuda is a great girl.
We thank God for all you friends who love us and our children, we value your friendship, prayers and financial support very much. We could not do this without you, as the cost of living increases worldwide we know that your sacrificing on our behalf will come at a cost to you.
Please know we are very grateful and are praying God will bless and increase you in every way.
Much love and blessing to you all from everyone at Jabulani. In Christ Alone, Alan and Dorothy
