November Update

Dear Friends of Jabulani, greetings from Zimbabwe! Summer has arrived with  temps in the mid 30’s Celsius and lots of rain which the country needs.

We were due to travel to USA for preaching and fundraising in Oct / Nov but due to the lockdown we were unable to go, so we have been in Ireland enjoying good times with our children and family here and it has been a great time for Dorothy and I, we have enjoyed lots of meals, outings and treats with our 4 grandchildren and God has been very gracious and kind to us. We have not spent this amount of time with them before and we thank God for these special days, the grandkids are growing up fast and we will never get these days again…praise God for His goodness and love.

Dorothy and I travel home to Zimbabwe on 1 December and are super excited about being with our Zim family again. We are planning a birthday party for next Saturday 3 Dec for Kuda who is 14 years old, this is just amazing. As many of you know we were told Kuda would die within  2 weeks of bringing her home to Jabulani but God has kept her and she is thriving and in good health…what a faithful God we serve! Please pray she will enjoy her life and know she is much loved by us all.

The schools in Zimbabwe opened up again in September and the kids have been full blast..they rise at 5am to shower and eat breakfast before leaving at 6:30am for Maranatha PS and then return around 3:30pm, they are loving being back at school, the 6 small girls  are currently involved in end of year tests while Blessing, Hope and Joseph are doing Grade 7 transfer tests prior to going to Maranatha High School 2022. Grace has had a great year and enjoyed her year 1 at HS, she has matured a lot and made some new friends, she in the debating club and plays hockey and swims for the school teams, please pray that the transition into new classes and new schools will be smooth and enjoyable for everyone.

The staff at Jabulani are very resilient and have done a great job this past year with all the COVID upheaval, we have all stayed healthy and thank God for that. With the loss of Joshua and Daniel leaving us it has been difficult in so many ways but we are grateful to everyone who works and lives at Jabulani for their great care and love to us and our children.

We want thank YOU very much for standing with us! Your prayers, love and financial support have meant so much to us all. We praise God for friends all over the world who are so interested in a little family in Zimbabwe, may God bless you richly, YOU are making a huge difference in our children’s lives and giving them a fabulous life and the possibility of a bright future…GOD BLESS YOU!

With love from Jabulani, Alan and Dorothy
