Greetings from a hot and wet Zimbabwe, we are sweltering but enjoying good times with our children.
2022 has arrived with a bang at Jabulani, unfortunately the schools did not open in January due to Covid and the kids only returned on 7 February but with much rejoicing as Grace entered Form 2 and is so happy and content to be back with her friends again. Blessing, Hope and Joseph started Form 1 and are all in the same class, they are coping and managing very well, it’s a huge change for them but they are happy and excited as we leave home at 6:25 each morning to negotiate the 3 feet deep potholes along most roads to the school.
It’s quite dangerous and precarious and we would ask you to please pray for safe travel every day, it’s very stressful to have 4 lanes of traffic passing you on the inside, outside and over the top of you if possible while trying to manouvre round the potholes! It leads to lots of prayer!
The 6 small girls, who are growing very quickly are now in Grade 5 its unreal to see them all business and organized, lots of homework and they are all keen to do well and work very hard at their lessons, may God bless them.
Please pray as we all rise around 5am and get ready to leave for school at 6:25am, lunch is at 1pm then they all have sports or clubs every day until I pick them up at 3:30 then home at 4, a quick change of clothes and dinner then homework, shower and a quiz programme on TV before bed at 8pm. It’s a long and tiring day for the children especially in 30c+ but they are managing everything very well praise God!
We celebrated Blessing and Hope becoming teenagers along with Esther turning 10 years old in Jan/Feb and are amazed at the goodness of God. We remember them coming here as babies with a short life expectancy and to see them thriving in every area of life causes to to praise our God! Kuda was 14 years old in December, she is growing and is very happy and contented, how we love dear Kuda, what a blessing she is!
Thank you for the part you have played in helping all our children arrive to where they are right now, they are all healthy, they have dreams and plans for their future, they are happy and enjoy life to the full. Thank you for your love, prayers and financial support, we are very grateful and want to assure you that we all pray for you regularly and praise God for your generosity.
May God bless you all in these days, we pray Covid will be over very soon, we pray good health and Gods blessing upon you. May you experience more of Jesus in every part of your life.
Much love from Jabulani,
Alan and Dorothy
